I wonder if those vacuum spheres are used for her aftermarket cruise control system? Odd looking. If you delete them, then make sure to cap your vacuum lines so that you can maintain a good vacuum for your brake assist, tranny, and climate control selector.
The wire connectors look a lot like my plugs for my van's IDI diesel filter housing. They plug in on top. But like Macrobb said, you can ignore them for now. They just power the warning light that you have too much water in fuel or other fuel filter related issue. Just regularly check your filter for water and you shouldn't have to many problems.
