C6 part identification? (pic)

Have a C6 that came with my 460. PO took them apart to help me since I was planning on putting on a ZF5. I'm debating using the C6 to just get the truck on the road for right now (460 is internally balanced and built and my parts cost is getting up there).

Found this washer like piece in the bellhousing, but I can't find it on any diagrams or mention of it when installing the torque converter. Looks like it might fit on the input shaft and act like a sort of seal on the torque converter.

But I can't find it anywhere I'm looking and I'm pretty sure I'll need another one to put it back together. Just the one half of it, found in the bellhousing.

Best guess where it went?

Engine is from '71, guessing the transmission is too.

Its not any part of the transmission or converter and it defiantly does not fit on the input shaft or in the converter.

Maybe its part of the starter.

Yep, that was it.

In my defense it's the same size as the torque converter hole and the input shaft, and I'm used to manuals.
