Clearance Lights

Sorry if this has been discussed, tried searching but didn't find anything.

Ordered a 2017 F350, 6.7L, SuperCab, 4x4, Camper Package, with clearance lights. I don't have much garage door clearance so I was concerned about the height clearance lights would add. The dealer said not to worry as the back of the cab was higher than the lights so that would be the problem area if there was one.

Can't find a SuperCab with clearance lights at a local dealer to see for myself, can anyone confirm that the top of the lights are lower than the back of the roof?

-Thanks

If they aren't lower they are close enough not to be a concern. You'll want to get a stubby radio antenna though.

Thanks for the heads up on the stubby antenna, hadn't thought about that.

The back of the cab is indeed higher than the clearance lights. If your garage barely clears, remember to clear the snow off the ground before entering or exiting it.

I measured a 2017 F350 CCSB 4wd with camper package & snow plow prep and 275/70/18 tires. The tallest part of the cab(the rear)was right around 82.5" if I measured everything right. Your super cab should be about the same height if you have the same size tires.

Wow! Glad you said that, I never thought about it. I only have an inch or so clearance. Hope I remember next winter.

fordman19762003, thanks for taking the time to measure. Same size tires so I'm feeling much better about the truck fitting in the garage with clearance lights.

My measurement wasn't 100% exact, I used a level to try and get it as perfect as possible so if you're close make sure to double check. There's nothing worse than pulling in the garage and hearing the door scrape across you roof(I know from experience due to my manual door drifting down)as you drive in.
