Trying to find ground wire location on my 99 f250 super duty with the 5.4 triton I didn't unbolt it myself. Going to be doing the big 3 upgrade soon and would like to use the factory ground spots. Thanks in advance!
That strap should be bolted to the mount for the transmission dip stick tube. There is a tab on dip stick tube that bolts to block. If you get under truck you will see tab on dip stick.

I'll look at it tomorrow. How important do you think it is to be connected?
Mine was broke for a while and did not notice any difference. I made a battery cable with 2 lugs and bolted it to firewall and then to engine in a spot that was easily accessible. Do not bolt it to alternator bracket as you will get static in radio.
That's a bonding cable, although it does carry current. They are 12ga. From the factory they are bolted to the back of the head usually, but any base connection is fine, head, intake, block ....

If it wasn't important, it wouldn't be there. Loose, corroded, or missing ground straps can cause big $$ trouble. Electricity is "lazy", it always takes the easiest path. If the ground path isn't where it's supposed to be, the juice will go through something else.
can this strap be bolted to the exhaust manifold?
if so should i remove bolt and attach direct to manifold or can i use a bolt over the current set up?
