Years ago my dad ripped me a new one for washing my dirty rags in the same washing machine that the family clothes gets washed in. Since then, my dirty rags and clothes just go in the trash when they get too dirty....... by then, new clothes are worn out enough to be work on the car clothes......
Thats funny. Yeah, I will actually draw the line on what I put in the washing machine, but the wife has no toleration with it hahaha if it came from outside, it stays outside.

Usually when I wash my rags they go to the laundromat. I have a ton of rags and I wait until I have enough for a large load. The ones I did the did the dish towels in were rags I had just made that were clean to begin with. I had just used them to wipe down parts I had washed prior to painting. I 've washed dirty rags "lightly soiled" ( no solvents /oil/grease ) with my own "work clothes".
You guys need to buy a cheap washer for the garage just for the rags.
Run hot water to it and drain outside as how often would you use it?
When you are buying a washer look for cheap dish washer for washing parts, wives don't like you to use the one in the kitchen.
Next week will be an electric stove to bake the oils out of Aluminum before painting and baking powder coated parts.
Or heating starter ring gears before fitting over fly wheels that you pulled from the freezer.

Good ideas. I like the dishwasher idea. What do you need for a DW, 110 or 220?
