Why are the closing the plant and bumping you and all the others out?
Because you said burn plant I am guessing here that environmental regs?
Hope you find something before you sell the truck. Best of luck.
Plant closing is part of the reason I am also out. The place I was hurt
at also closed. New owners did it they just wanted the tooling.
Had they stayed I would still be working because my boss would of
knot let me go.
It was a financial decision due in large part to mismanagement of boiler maintenance and environmental regulation requiring us to install a NOX reduction system at a cost of 1.7 million.
So if we set up a go fund me to pay off the truck, could you keep it (running) or justify keeping it, while you look for employment?
Hate to lose you this way Brett...
Scott
That is an incredibly nice thing to offer and I appreciate the thought more than you know Scott, but you guys don't need to do that. I will still be around and when the funds permit I will get another 6.0.

We could all donate our EGR valves and coolers to help, lol
We have "Flue Gas Recirculation" on our boilers - same thing!

The mandate is to install a Urea or ammonia injection system to control the NOX. The funny thing is we have always been well below our permit limit of 350 PPM on a 24 hour arithmetic average and have never had an exceedance and the way they were going to set the new permit limit was to have us install the system and see where the NOX runs and set the limit based on that.

Sounds like you have too many of the kooks from California coming
to town and not going back home.
That's completely ****ing ridiculous. Imagine going to dinner and instead of seeing prices they say "well let's just open your wallet and see what's in there".
Thank you for the offer Anthony, unfortunately I have a pair of golden handcuffs on and I need to get a job that has the Utah state retirement, I only need 2 more years then I can start drawing my pension. But hey in a couple years I may take you up on it.
Have no idea at all. Sounds more like Brett needs to sort through some things 1st -- keeping the truck might not be the best thing for him right now...
While it was an unbelievably kind gesture and it made me feel good knowing you guys would be willing to do something like that for me, I wouldn't have felt good about it. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances for not only me but 34 other guys that in some cases will be far worse off than I will. I will make it through this I have no doubt, and hey like my mom always said stuff like this is a character builder, so at least I'll get some more of that . My main point of this thread was to give someone on here a crack at a good and well maintained 6.0L. Thank you again for the offer of trying to help me out, it just proves as I've always said you guys are the finest there are and always willing to go out of your way to help.
