It is with deep regret that I have decided to sell my 6.0l. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be unemployed at the end of may. They have decided to close the plant down where I have worked for the last 26 years. If anyone is looking for a good 6.0l pm me. I live in the northern Utah area.
Sorry to hear that also,, But I know a place in Grain Valley MO that would love to hire someone off this site!!!!!
Thank you for the offer Anthony, unfortunately I have a pair of golden handcuffs on and I need to get a job that has the Utah state retirement, I only need 2 more years then I can start drawing my pension. But hey in a couple years I may take you up on it.

I have a habit of following closings and lay offs in the news, read about a plant in Davis county the other day. Does this happen to be near your area?

That happens to be the exact one, the Davis County burn plant.
We're so behind that I think I can put your name on jobs now then. Lol. I just can't find help. Can attention to detail be trained??? I've tried.
It's nuts around here Anthony, I can open up the weekly local and find at least 100 different jobs, most of them a decent wage.
Same thing goes for anything in the diesel tech area. Our oldest will be a senior next year and started working part time at one of the implement dealers just up the road. He loves it and plans to go the a tech college for diesel tech. I'll bet there are 10 openings right now just in our county.

Sorry to hear that. I always feel bad when I read about these closings because behind every story are folks like yourself that most folks don't stop to think about.....most of us probably think "well at least it wasn't me"
I'm sure like a lot of other plants there is a ton of history there.
Thank you for the kind words and well wishes, it does help for sure. This has been a tough pill to swallow, I haven't been unemployed for even one day since I got my first real job at age 14.
And Benny I can and do all my own trim work but doubt I'm good enough to make a living at it, I'm mean I could do it but I'd probably starve lol.
Why are the closing the plant and bumping you and all the others out?
Because you said burn plant I am guessing here that environmental regs?
Hope you find something before you sell the truck. Best of luck.
Plant closing is part of the reason I am also out. The place I was hurt
at also closed. New owners did it they just wanted the tooling.
Had they stayed I would still be working because my boss would of
knot let me go.
