I suspect we may be seeing some economic supply-and-demand effect. The new SD's appear to be very popular -- especially the upper trim levels -- and Ford may be adjusting their prices accordingly.

Already ordered mine so I'm locked but playing with build and price (today) I'm seeing a $400 increase.

B&Ps for each manufacturer goes up in price several times per year, with an occasional reduction for a certain component. Happens all the time.

I ordered 4/21/2016 and received mine 10/4/2017. I just did a Build & Price on my truck; the price went up $565 from my window sticker.

As for the truck you want...its hardly a unicorn. There are tons of KR trucks without the FX4 package...plenty of people could care less (myself included) about getting goofy badges and lousy shocks. Now, the cab clearance lights is a little different...most trucks I would say come with them. Why do you not want these? I know you've been kind of all over the board with what truck / trim you want...
