so I decided to play with the build and price again today just to see if any things new. Cause I'm waiting till July to order.
I noticed from my last configuration, I took the price down that ford has upped the prices of these vehicles by 300$ or more or less depending on the trim.

Yet still no rebates. The hell is up with that?
Workers get raises, components get more expensive, prices go up. This happens with just about every make/model of vehicle a couple of times during the model year.
If you're planning to order in July, it will likely be an 18 and there will almost certainly be price increase for the new model year.
Happens all the time. Wait until July and it will go up a few more times. Mine went up $700 waiting from Dec to Jan. That said, I just built and priced mine and it's identical to my early Jan price.
In 2008 I ordered a custom job in Canada. Work sent me to California for work for a month. Same truck fully loaded with more then what I ordered was $20,000 less when factoring in conversion.
But not Canadian dealer would honor warranty on USA truck.
It will likely be about the same as every other year no Frantz? If that's the case, 18's should start going down the line sometime in July with the banks opening 1-2 months prior.
It can vary some. If memory serves me right, 2015 was a short model year for SD. You can be generally right most of the time looking at previous model years dates.
If you are so worried about price increase(s) which have already happened since my received truck (dealer so kindly mentioned it on my delivery day).... Why wait? Also, if you're financing, those rates are on the upward rise as well.
No sleep till Brooklyn! .... and get your order-in, you cheapskate!
Yes, waiting for rebates to climb often coincides with price increases. Helps to move the ones on the lot compared to an order, but I still say the best value is getting the truck you want.
If it does happen in July - would that mean they wouldn't be produced until November? So I could be waiting half a year or more for the truck to be built?
Im looking at the dolen for the f150 for 2018.
I'm not too worried about price. I'd hate for it to increase 3k more lol.
Unless a dealer can find me a black and caribou KR ultimate with no clearance lights and without the fx4 package. Then idk if I'd buy off lot. However if they did and made me a awesome deal I might other than that I feel like the truck I want is a unicorn
I also will will use my credit union so I don't have to worrie about rates.
Just something to consider... The FED raised rates by a quarter point in march and warned to expect 3 more rate increases this year if data remained positive and inflation creeps up.
So June could be the next bump in rates.
Although I checked yesterday and my credit union rates haven't increased yet from the one in march but they will eventually increase. So if a $300 or so increase in MSRP is concerning,
you may need to factor in the potential increase in interest rates
I wonder if Ford is extending the 2017 MY for the SD due to the Tier 3 emissions phase in? For MY 2018, it looks like vehicles over 6,000 lbs GVWR have to be included in the fleet average (which I believe is sales weighted). See the notes on tables 2 and 4 in this article: https://www.dieselnet.com/standards/us/ld_t3.php
Delaying the changeover would have the effect of pulling some sales back into the 2017 model year and reducing the number of higher polluters counted in the 2018 model year average.
