no idle
i have a 69 ford f100 and i just started it and it hasnt run in a year. it has a 351 with a 2 bbl. it will start but not stay running i have to hold the gas at 2000 rpms or it will gradually drop and die. the gas line is full and the pump works. the filter is new and fills up. not sure what to do because i never had this problem on my other 78 f100. i would adjust the idle and jets but they were fine last time i drove it and it wont even idle. anyone have any suggestions??

Could be stale fuel, it does go bad. Especially when it is laced with ethanol, down to a 1/2 tank, truck stored outside in the weather, etc.
Carburetor could well need a rebuild. When was the last time the carb was gone through?
