Wow, Jim...that's quite warm for April. Windy and low 60's for us.
Spent some time trying to figure out where I'm going to mount a 7-pin connector on the back of the Escape. Why couldn't they be like Jeep and include it with the factory tow package?

I have the bracket, but the hitch beam doubles as the bumper support, meaning a curved piece of plastic is covering the entire thing, with the receiver tube poking out from the plastic. Looks like it'll either hang down low, or I'll be chopping up the lower valence. Just trying to figure how I wanna do it...probably should have taken some photos.

Brother in law just has his on a longer cable with plastic sleeve that he lets dangle out the tailgate when he needs it for the trailer and then tucks it inside (spare tire well) when not needed. I thought it might be a problem for the cable and hatch gasket but after five years or so - no problems yet. Just a thought..
