Had my OEM glass replaced because of a crack. Now I'm wondering if I originally had the band of tint across the top. Glass company claims not.
Something just seems odd, I just didn't notice until I got in after work.
So I am asking the community... 2014 XLT OEM glass, tinted band or just the speckled area and logo behind mirror and painted edge?
Thanks for the post/question, very timely. I have a 2012 STX that I've had for only a few months. My windshield got busted this week due to some tennis ball size hail stones.
It's an OEM windshield with the F150 in the high center and blacked edging. I just checked and do not have the "tint band" across the top.
If I hadn't checked, I would have thought the same as you. I assumed that all windshields had the tint.
