Scrap is only around $40 a ton right now. I was going to scrap my 2005 impala and all they told me they would give me for it was $80 so I sold it to one of my shift boss's where I worked as a parts car for him and got $150. It was high mileage but still a good running car..had over 400,000 km's

My last 4 cars had over or close to 400,000 on them and a couple with 170,000 only scraped 3 of them and sold the other 2
