I was wondering how the truck driver could not have know he was dragging something..
He was going up hill.. That motor must have been straining..
He seemed oblivious to it...LOL

One of our drivers was heading to Indy when a stiff wind laid the back box over on its side. At night he couldn't see it except for the two front markers on the trailer weren't where they should be. He didn't feel it go over or slow the tractor down any.

Was it empty??
Still think it would put a drag on the truck that would indicate something was wrong

It had freight in it but wasn't all that heavy. The turbo would work harder to keep the tractors speed up.

Still a good driver should have felt the difference in my opinion
Most people drive and don't listen to the vehicle

I don't know. Our trucks did have governors that were set at 65MPH. One would think a trailer on its side would create sparks from the metal rubbing the pavement that the driver would see at night.

From the video that you posted that car was on the left side, why didn't the driver see it?

The turbo should have been screaming, he should have heard it, either truck.

Yeah plus he should have felt the truck pull when the trailer fell

I don't know, maybe because we weren't driving it?
