That will be costly to get back on the trailer and underway again.

If the load was properly blocked it shouldn't have come off, even if the driver made an abrupt turn.

I think they have it back on the trailer at this point. The state is working to get the travel permits for the load reissued. Not to mention the other states it has to go through have to reissue permits for it. So until that happens it is parked.

Yeah it did Rick. State has to go in and fix the road there. What really sucks is the fact they just repaved that section not too long ago now that alot of the road work in that area is finished.

Very lucky indeed Don. The city also has a traffic headache of its own right now. They had to close a bridge down for an unknow amount of time. They have to replace a water main That failed. It runs right down the middle of the bridge just under the road.

The bridge is leaking water right now Don. The water main that let go is a 20" main.

Must have carried a pretty good flow of water to keep from freezing during the Winter.

Around the turn of the last century the commercial properties were supplied with steam heat that was piped under the River to downtown Peoria. Gets too cold here to pipe that across a bridge.

Steam heat was supplied up into the 60s. I do remember steam escaping at the manhole covers in the streets.
