Ok, so my '80 250 is at best a hacked up POC when it comes to the wiring....
...haven't ever seen so many twisted wires and electrical tape
My question comes from the speaker wires. Currently the speakers in the doors have wires that route out between the door and the door panel.
It looks fairly weird, but I don't see any obvious place that they would route through the door jam.
Any help on where the speaker wire should route would be greatly helpful.
As always, "Thanks" for all the great replies I know I will get.

There is a sort of accordion-bellows like this http://www.ebay.com/bhp/door-wire-loom that connects the door to the cab for speaker wires and power window/lock wiring. I added it to my truck many years ago. I had to dill (hole saw) the door jamb and cab jamb to install. As I recall there is a dimple where you (line-assembler) would drill the holes.
I can post a picture of this set up if you need one.
Thanks again for the quick reply. Based on what was said here, I wonder if this means this truck didn't have a radio originally. Hadn't even considered that possibility.
Either way I go, looks like I'll be doing some drilling in the near future.
Mine has the bellows to the doors. I ran new wire to speakers directly under the dash pad toward the front, then down behind kick panels and through bellows. This was easier, shorter, and more tidy than factory routing when I was installing new speakers, wire, amp, head unit.
I will have to look over my parts truck closer to see if it has a larger hole for this bellews being a Ranger.
Before I bought it the radio, heater & duel tank controls were sold, so were the doors but I should still see the holes in the body.
Now my project truck someone did add door speakers, no radio when I bought it.
The speaker wires were run thru holes drilled and just left out to be seen.
I don't know what I will do yet, hide the wires or leave them the way they are?

If you want to go cheap could use vacuum hose the wires will fit in.
Drill holes a little smaller so you have to force the hose in the hole to hold the hose in place.

Also, offset the holes vertically so the wire folds into the space when the door is closed. Don't drill the holes at the same height on both sides or it will get kinked and fatigued.
