ramp 59 dearborn truck location

Appears my 2017 F150 is currently awaiting shipment via Jack Cooper Transport. I can reason that the movement of the vehicles can be determined by how many are available to deliver to a particular dealer or dealers in a given area. However, it seems reasonable to get a better update than what Ford-Cotus provides? Currently listing has been the vehicle awaiting shipment for the past week?

Welcome to FTE!!

What you are experiencing is completely normal for FORD. They assign the VIN quickly. Follow the build nicely. Then transport...and it takes extra patience.

What config F150 you go with? Post pics when it arrives!! We love pics!!

The whole in transit thing is kind of frustrating. We went through the same thing with other brands in the past. It would be nice to have a web site, find my F150, that tracks the location in real time on a map.

Lariat w/max trailer tow-502A Sport Crew-6-1/2' box. . .
My dealership advised from the onset that once the vehicle is built and is awaiting transport (via Jack Cooper Transport) they lose the ability to track to track my vehicle?? Since then however, I've done some research and have discovered a telephone number for the Dispatcher at the infamous Ramp 59 in Dearborn where many of the vehicles are waiting for transport. I was able to obtain the Freight Billing Number associated with my VIN but the only issue now is that No One is answering the telephone when I call!!

I will continue to call the Dispatcher and will advise accordingly.

Good luck. Mine has said in transit since the 17th on COTUS, but I'm told it's still waiting on a rail car to leave KC.

How nice would it be if you could just go pick it up at the factory? Maybe get a plant tour while you are there.

Ahh...almost like UPS or FedEx?? While I think great in theory, but probably costly overall.

On my ordered 2017 F150...I am already being charged $1295.00 for Destination and Delivery. IMHO...that is WAY to much as it is. As a FORD customer...I am not willing to "pay" for the "Tracking" of my truck to the dealership. Just my .02.

As we all know, that cost only gets passed to the customer.

The Explorer plant is close to our house and we pay the same charge, so the delivery comes out to about about $100/mile.
