My truck will go to 0 if I am driving. Last one was last week on a 100 mile drive. It took 20 miles to complete clean at 55 on a two lane road.
Wonder if the cleaning cycle is less (shorter) when towing heavy, as the engine is already much hotter and most importantly the EGT's. I only think this as it seems this way for me and during my 1K break-in, those few regens seemed like they took much longer. hmmmm
So I have an appointment for an oil change at the dealership today but when I get there I will ask for them to activate this screen. I asked about it over the phone and they had no idea what I was talking about so I saved the pics from this tread and hopefully they’ll do this for me. I do a lot of city driving with a good amount of idle time so it would be nice to know when it’s in a regen so I can find some Highway for it to finish.
I know this is an older thread and hoping someone can chime in here that has done this. In the last screenshot, it shows the option to enable the "Diesel Exhaust Filter Display". and on that same screen is shot the "Automatic Regeneration Control" as disabled. Can someone tell me that if you enable the Filter Display, does this automatically disable auto regen? Or can you have both the filter display and still have auto regen? Thanks in advance!
Yes, I just got my truck back from the dealer today and I had the screen added.
Thank you for posting the screen shots. I was at the dealer today for the seat belt recall and asked about getting the dpf screen enabled and they didn't know anything about it. While waiting for the recall to be finished I did a google search and came across this thread. I showed the service manager the screen shots and he said " I can do that". So thanks again.
