I even printed out the screen shots to show them. They are not interested in doing it.
called a local Custom Diesel shop. They said they have forscsn and IDS and would look into it and get back to me. That was a week ago on Monday. Called them back this past Monday and they said they haven't had time to look into it yet. I told them I have the screen shots if they want to learn. Have not heard back from them yet. They advertise they are the go to shop for all your Diesel needs including deletes and tuning.
Speechless, my dealer is Friendly Ford in Geneva NY. They are bending over for me and also asked if I wanted a complimentary oil change. I passed as I have my oil, as in Mobil1 15w40 and they have motocraft bulk dispensing.
Anyhow, you might shop another dealer next time, eh?

I got a chuckle from this, but it’s not funny if your dealer is not playing ball with you.
Exactly how mine went, I even offered to show him the steps shown on this forum, he said nope I got it, you want anything else?
Apparently there are either some bad attitudes or just too lazy of service guys at some folks dealers. Guess they aren't thinking about another sale from you down the road, that's for sure!

Yeah, my dealer did this with no problem at all. I showed the tech the steps here and it took about 30 seconds. They had IDS hooked up to do a bunch of updates anyway. Any dealer that is too lazy to plug in the IDS and follow a couple of how to steps is just plain lazy and would not get my return business.

I have bought 3 new Fords since 2013 from 3 different dealers. Sales experience has been great at all 3. Service department, not so good.

Sad. And a really dumb way to run a dealership. There is serious profit in parts and non-warranty work. Service departments should be cultivating long term customers...not chasing the away!
My SIL finally got a chance to bring his work laptop home tonight so he stopped by and it took all of about 5 minutes to get the DPF % to display in the info. It was cold out and his battery was about dead on his laptop but he will bring it again and we are going to see what else is available through IDS. He said they are about to update IDS.
When he first brought the screen up it said 95%. I drove it till it went to 99% then kept driving till it went down to 15%. It never went any lower and had quit the regen cycle. Is this typical?

Mine always drops to 0%, but I keep driving until it does. I will say, the regen happened, start to finish in about 15 minutes during the Summer. Its been a long time between regens since it got cold out, but when it does, it takes about twice as long.

My truck will go to 0 if I am driving. Last one was last week on a 100 mile drive. It took 20 miles to complete clean at 55 on a two lane road.
