And we haven't even talked about the Nitrited OATs....
I actually DON'T know what I'm running... I bought Final Charge concentrate a few years back and switched to it + DW. I do remember it was rated for 600 or maybe 750 thousand miles...
So now Peak has Final Charge Global, which is an OAT
and they have Final Charge NOAT
Delo also has both. So, NOW, which one do you choose???!
Maybe we just tell folks pick one that is EC-1 rated and is RED in color...? I think the Asian coolants are also Red, but don't know (haven't checked) if any are EC-1 (I sort of doubt it...).
Jack:
Well, that advice might not be good for those with a pacemaker... But since I don't, I'll have to try it next time I cook bacon -- I assume a footnote to that advice is to NOT pull the grease filled tray out right then (ouch)...
I'm not sure if I have any thoughts on coolant anymore, I think my brain has turned to green goo from adding too much SCAs

On Edit: I read your naked bacon backwards, as in the reverse of Stewart's advice!
Yes. Just dont get the nitrite free (NF). They are labeled very similarly. But one is NF. (sorry about the huge pics. don't know how to shrink them down).
A shop might of put the Nitrite Free in mine so I called Shell and they looked up the Ford standards and said that each of the Shell Rotella ELC (including NF and Ultra) were approved. I will tell you the person took their time and researched so the notes and standards put out by ford. I am going to double check with shop that flushed and put in new coolant. I specifically wrote ELC Cat-1 so I hope the receipt write-up is wrong but according to Shell I am good either way. They said especially good with any aluminium.
That said I wanted to ask your thoughts and get more detail on why you said stay away in case they did put in NF version? Thanks.

Reason: Misspelled
I know this is a few years after the OP submitted their data, but today, I just spoke to 3 different Shell Tech Support reps and they validated the Shell Rotella ELC NF was an approved product for my '03 Ford F250 SD 7.3L needs.
I am confused from all the 'internet experts' out here that seem to have 17 different 'proven' ways to clean, flush and refill coolant systems for my application. I have GOLD now, 97k original miles and am going forward with 2x flush of my system with distilled water and then refill with 8.2 gallons (or whatever i can get into my flushed system) of Shell Rotella ELC NF Concentrate (NOT 50/50).
If anyone wants to save me from myself, please feel free to do so, I will not complain, but what I have read in this post kinda says alot, no one really knows what the RIGHT way to do this really is.
Thank you for your kind nudge if I am about to screw something up.

You have landed in the 6.0L forum and that may be a problem with the compatibility.
