Coolant types

Is it safe to run the Cat ELC coolant in a 6.0 or should you stay with the Ford Gold?

Its safe! I use it and so does international who makes the 6.0.

A friend of mine gets it by the 5 gallon buckets. Want to make sure it's safe to run before I do the flush and add it.

And I thought the coolant was supposed to have the CAT EC-1 rating, not just ANY new coolant?
(International uses Fleetrite ELC, which does indeed have the CAT EC-1 rating. It is also pretty much just a rebranded Shell Rotella ELC)
