My 2017 CCLB 4x4 diesel dually Lariat Ultimate has a payload sticker of 5,440. 21k trailer would be a tongue weight of less than half that payload. I think it would handle it very well.

For what its worth, there's no way I'm buying new hitches. My truck has the 3" hitch, and the step-down adapter is working quite well, lol. Why would I bother? The trailer didn't get any bigger...hahahaha.

With a 1,000 lb tongue weight my F-350 CCLB SRW squats 1 3/4". Tongue weight doesn't include the WDH or the bars that go on it.

So, 5 new trucks in the last 5 years strikes you as reasonable but a new hitch to fit your new 3" receiver is over the top? LOL Tyler... not sure I'm following that logic...

Hahaha - You're right of course, but its amazing how cheap I am in some areas. I have to laugh at myself sometimes. Anyways, the hitches are still doing their job admirably well!

Things that sound dirty, but aren't. Or at least were never intended to be. I'll have to throw in more context next time.

Great! That's what mine will look like, too. What's really sweet are those BIG safety chain holes!
