Until it was just confirmed, getting a 2.5" on your job 2 is exactly what I would have surmised. But Ford did something odd here and kept the higher rated hitch on a lower rated truck for job 2. So, it sure sounds like you're getting the 3" unless that post from user Blubld was in error...

Well thats good. Is there a trailer tow package for the 350's? maybe they are trying to get people to swing for it.

No, 350's are all the same. Mine's a job 1 so I have a 3" though so not too concerned about it. However, I was in the same boat as you waiting for it to come in with a 3" sitting on the work bench. The order guide showed the change happening on Jan 5th so I didn't know when it would happen or what I would get. Turned out it was job 2 thing though.

The dealer screwed up my order and had to order a second truck. Both are F350 SRW 6.7L Short WB. The first one has a 3" receiver on it, built in early Feb. I am driving that truck now until mine comes in My correct truck will be here in 3 or 4 days. If it isn't a 3" then we are swapping the receiver hitches. I think even though it was built after Job2 started, it is considered a Job 1 because of the mess up. The window sticker shows the old prices from December, no price increase on anything, even shipping.

Is there any correlation between the 3" and the Dana vs Sterling? Do trucks that have the 3" get the Dana?

No, Dana can be either 2.5" or 3" based on configuration. Sterling is 2.5" only.

Ok. I thought I remembered reading on here that the 250HD got the dana. If the hd gets 3" I'm guessing there is another variable somewhere.

Sorry, just trying to learn what I have

The HD 250 does indeed get the Dana and the 3" in both the short bed and long bed configurations which you confirmed. (It was assumed that it would mirror the SRW 350 6.7 for job 2 but since you got the 3" it is indeed now different as the SB 350 lost the 3".) The SRW 6.7 350 get's the Dana as well but get's a 3" in the long bed and a 2.5" on the short bed for Job 2 builds.

Anyways, if you have a job 2 short bed HD 250 and have the 3" hitch, that's good to know. It was the last piece of the puzzle for the job 2 change.

Ok now I'm following. Thank you for the reply. And I did verify my hitch, it's 3" with 2 sleeves.

I think the order guide describes this pretty clearly. Only DRW, 350 diesel 176" WB, and 250 with HD Tow (all wheel bases) get the 3-inch hitch receiver. Everything else gets the 2 ½-inch hitch receiver.

That's correct for job 2. The long bed SRW 6.7 350 get's the 3" as well but I think you were saying that too. I just can't place your comma correctly as I read...LOL

It just makes no sense as the SRW 350 short bed is rated to tow more than the short bed HD 250. So, why does the 250 get the 3" and the SRW 350 SB not?
