hey guys!!! good news it turned out to be tha cps!!!(thank god!). sorry it took me so long to update. long story short swapped the cps crank it a couple of times and it turned on like if it had never happen jajaj
so now when driving home at about 48 -56 mph the truck starts to rattle like if i was going through a bumpy road after the 56 mph the rattle goes away or if i let go of the gas pedal. i stopped at a rest area and look under my truck to see there is oil leaking from the outputshaft . i had it replace before cps went bad. any thoughts???
transmission output shaft sorry i didn't specify. some people call it transmission tail(from what i have read) in this picture is on the right the speed sensor
Was it just the seal that was replaced? If the new seal has gone bad that quickly it was either not installed correctly or something else is taking it out. IE: Bad bearing(s) or possibly worse.
yeah only the seal was replaced. it wasnt leaking when i test drove the truck around town( max 40 mph) after it was installed. im thinking the vibration is what's causing the seal to go bad
Bad or worn bearings on the output/tail shaft will allow the shaft itself to "wobble" which will take out seals in a hurry if they are bad enough. If that is indeed your problem. Could be even deeper in the transmission or drive shaft related. U-joints, center support bearing, out of balance etc. Was the drive shaft properly indexed when removed/replaced to go back the exact way it came out?
hooo ok. i dont think they put it back the exact way it came out.i dont see any marking that proves it. i would take the shaft off tomorrow to see if they are worn out, the center support bearing was also replace same time as the seal.
the shaft can only be put 2 different ways correct??
the shaft can only be put 2 different ways correct??

I would not be so sure of that. I am not sure if it is splined or not but most likely it is at the tail shaft and/or the center support bearing. Which mans it could be installed as many different ways as there are splines on the shaft unless there are other limiting factors involved. Never done one on my truck, but have on several other vehicles.
