Brake booster bad?

So I go start the truck, step on the brake pedal, and put it in reverse; pedal is hard as a rock. Had to drive home with it that way. No power assist. I don't think it is vacuum related because all the ac stuff works correctly. So question is, is it hard to replace the booster? Where should I get one? Recommendations on procedure?

It might also be the master cylinder.

mine did the same, hard brakes, ac, heater, and defrost all worked fine, turned out it was the vaccum pump, been all good for a year.

It was the vacuum pump. All fixed.
