2003 Ford Explorer XLT

Hey, everyone! I have a couple issues hopefully someone could help me with.
  1. My vehicle drives pretty smooth, although whenever I am idle, the vehicle shakes a bit, not too rough, and gets random jolts that shakes the whole vehicle. Just this morning when heading to work, I started up my vehicle, and let off the brake with no gas, and when it started to move forward, it sputtered as if it were almost out of gas. Could this be the fuel filter?
  2. My air intake box had some outside debris in it, like a leaf and some type of small gravel. Is that normal? Of course I cleaned to out though. Lol.

the first thing to consider is routine maintenance. Spark plugs get changed at 100K miles or when problems show up. 14 year old coil wires can show some damage or breakdown. Fuel filters / air filter are routine maintenance items..... None of these MIGHT be the problem, but ALL are going to be the first guess for repairs.
