Sync2 Update 3.10
Sync2 Update 3.10
Was searching the other day and ran across a Sync2 3.10 update. It took a while to actually get the files.
Thanks to tedi_k over on XDA for the files and permission to post.
Here is the link.
It will take between 20-30 minutes to install. Vehicle must be running.
Format a USB stick FAT32
unzip contents to blank stick.
should be a folder and autoinstall file. (These must be in the root of the drive)
During the install you will see update to v3.8, this is no biggie as the 3.8 installer was used. It installs v3.10
My impressions only, I feel the screen is more responsive.

Darkster,
No idea, most of the time dealerships do not acknowledge the update.
I was reading the Fusion forum and found this. I followed it for about 2 weeks before the files became available.

Doesn't this version of Sync do away with the SD drive/reader? I know the 2016 Escape with Sync 3 doesn't not have maps on an SD card.

I'd like a software version that I can connect my iPhone to without having the Bluetooth in the radio throw a fit every few weeks, which my dealer tells me is normal. I put an android on it, and it did take 3-4 months the the Bluetooth to barf, but I don't like the Pandora app for android. (It pauses often for no apparent reason, and likes to ask me "are you still listening?" about 15 seconds after I start the truck and automatically unpause the app.)
It seems to me like this is an update for the Sync 2 systems - which we have in our trucks ('13-'16) - but it is VERSION 3.1, rather than an actual software or firmware change to Sync 3 - which is the latest and greatest system. To upgrade to Sync 3 would require the change in hardware mentioned by ZooDad in post #6.
Keith,
Did you actually install on a 2008-2015 pickup, or are you just saying it is "more responsive" on another vehicle that has 3.10 version of Sync2?...
Thanks I advance.
