Looking to put a flatbed on my F250 CC and either put axle extenders and duallys on my Ford 10.5 or swap the Dana 80 DRW axle on it. Thought about just buying a new truck, but I don't owe much on this truck and it's got a lot of life left. I have the shop, tools and experience to do the work myself. I'm setting aside 7,000 for the work, 3-4k for the truck body, 2k for the axle, front hub spacers and rear leaf springs, 1000 for a used set of DRW wheels/tires. Should be able to recoup a little bit out of the sale of my bed.
Looking for the stability of a DRW when pulling the 5th wheel in my sig, and the utility of a flatbed for ATV's/Dirtbikes without needing a separate utility trailer.
So far, an aluminum CM SK Truck bed with under bed storage doors is what I've had my eye on.
