Hello, I recently posted this in another location but came upon the wiring section, hoping to get some answers. I recently purchased a 1995 F150 4x4 with the 351 Windsor. Upon driving it I realized the speedo didn't work, transmission shifted hard, and OD light blinking. After googling my issue I found out it was the VSS. I climbed under the truck to find out the VSS isn't even plugged in. I searched for the wire but could not find it, only a spliced cable..... I need verification or help to lead me in the right direction maybe to find the connector.
Here's a diagram, look at page 7. The vss signal goes straight to the instrument cluster to a piece they call the PSOM. The diagram shows the wire colors you are looking for.
Well I believe the wires I found are the ones I was looking for..... just the previous owner did a makeshift wiring job not sure why, tried to contact but no answer. I'm going to be buying some wire and everything to properly do the job. Truck runs great aside from driving. I appreciate you help, but one more question so I can completely be sure, any other pictures or info where that wire runs up? Possibly up into the frame like my harness?
