Flathead 239ci wiring

Does anyone have a plan view picture showing the plug wire routing (not just numbering) and position of #1 on the distributor?

It's going to depend greatly on what year and model application you're asking for. Some of them varied considerably.

There should be two or three metal clips on the intake that have holes in them for running the wires thru.

Perfect, now we are cooking with gas. I believe the original wires were 90 degree boots at the plug. Last pic is aftermarket. Ross, do you know where I can get that wire clip at attaches to the intake manifold?

The original wires had 90 degree open metal clips on the plugs. No boots. Like in the black and white pics that Harley posted.

I bought a set from LMC Truck. The wires are brown, and the 90 degree clips are bare. They're not cheap, but they look original...

But I have a 6 cyl.
