While driving my 2016 F250 which I recently purchased, which has a little over 1000 miles. While driving on the interstate about 65-70 MPH I noticed my gas mileage was reduced to about 11 MPG, normally it is about 16+MPG. I noticed that the Turbo, Engine Boost Gauge was reading about 100 PSI, usually stay about at the zero mark. This situation lasted about 15 minutes, then it returned to normal, both the boost went down and the MPG went back to 16MPG. I did not change my speed. Wondering if this had anything to due with the vehicle's emission control system or the particulate filter regeneration cycle.

sounds like your exhaust went through a regen. It happens occasionally and you only get a very brief message on your instrument message center before it starts automatically . It's a self cleaning function.
It lasts about 20 miles or so.
Its normal.
You may get a hot exhaust smell as well.i believe it works by extra fuel being added to your exhausts system that creates a scorching/burn it clean situation.
There shoykd be more info in your diesel supplemental booklet.
