Good to know. But, I'm trying to understand why 21 was the one. How did you measure true speed? And, any chance that the indicated and actual speeds were rounded a bit to get 55 and 45?

I was rounding. I was using a speed check in town and trying to hold at 55 on speedo. I could have been off a mile or two and the calibration on the radar may not have been perfect. Since everything was stock, I stuck with a stock # 21 gear.

Got it. All it takes is the actual to be one more and the indicated one less and the 21 gear would be perfect. (Or the indicated to be two less and the actual spot-on.)
