I can't remember what year it was, but I bought a used 1959 Ford with a 352 in it that was not running for $25. I replaced the distributor and it ran like a champ.
They had gas wars that brought the price of fuel down to 15-19 cents per gallon.
Another great thing about older FE trucks is that without all the electronics of newer vehicles, it makes our FE's less vulnerable to CME's
It makes them a good bug out vehicle.
If only they were more fuel efficient.
