man what is up with these prices? and why are big rigs not crying bloody murder over these prices - they are the only ones that people in charge might listen too. i know "the sell your truck" stuff or "its not so bad etc - but yeah it is,lol. the prices went way up in like 1 day!
Yesterday (8/02), Diesel was 2.45. Today it went down 2.41 here in Maryland. I remember like a year ago when diesel was 1.75 while regular gasoline was 2.10. What happened?
Had a report from a couple of Bobcat, Inc. drivers that they saw fuel in Oklahoma City for 2.15/gallon on 8-2-05. It's about 2.27 here in Austin. down about a nickel in the last week or 10 days.
I just filled up today for $2.14.9 a gallon. I will check to see if they went up tonight. Regular gas was $2.31.9 a gallon. And thats the way it should be!!!!! I live in Laporte , Indiana.
i cant wait to get out of california - ya have to be near a millionare to live here between the price of houses, fuel etc etc. i wanna go back to georgia...
the big rigs are getting a large fuel surcharge added on to the shipping invoice.
not that big of a surcharge ......not even enough to cover the price jump of the fuel ,
I am getting between 10-15% so if the freight charge is $500.00 i get $50 xtra and that doesnt even come close to the fuel cost for a 250 mile trip .

We made that move 8 years ago. I have not regreted it once!
Heard a report today that they expect oil to be at $70 a barrel very soon. When that happens, diesel will be well over $3 a gallon here in the rip you off state of Cali. Gee, I can hardly wait.
If they are going to use the Heating Oil story I wish they would of lowered my fuel this summer. $2.30 for heating oil during the summer and $2.80 for fuel at the pump. Boy I wonder if my fuel oil for the house will be almost $3.00 a gallon. Not to much concerned about the truck. I can always park it if I have to but gota have heat. The wood stove will get a good work out this winter, that for sure.
I've actually been thinking about this very subject for the past couple of weeks. I forget where I read this, but I saw a article that was noting the popularity in the large pick-up trucks. The article stated that the sells were exceeding those of the "SUV's"... Now, I will always listen to a good conspiracy theroy. How about noting the BIG 3 are having these Family Plans, Employee Pricing etc. etc... Do you think they know that buy putting as much of these gas/diesel guzzeling family "Trucks" on the road, that people WILL be willing to pay whatever price for fuel? Would you believe that the auto industry was "in bed" with some of the oil types? I hate them for even being associated with each other...
P.S. I pick up my new 6.0 PSD truck next week - I'm so ashamed...
