I really like FORScan and I have it for the laptop also. It shows everything that I need and it data logs really well. It reads codes better than Torque Pro from what I have gathered so far with my limited use with Torque.
Torque Pro is great and is what I use with my Android tablet. It is customizable and I am still learning it. It does look pretty damn sweet with the newer gauge plugin I installed.
I have no experience with Dash Command or Dashboss, but I have heard good about both.

Thanks for the input, anyone else have any thoughts/opinions?
Very nice work on that. Anyone else considering some kind of mount check out nato mounts https://www.natomounts.com/
I use one for my phone and works great. Guarantees your phone or tablet will not fall. Very solid and goes on with removable 3M tape.
Thanks
I have seen those mounts and they do work well. Problem for me is it does not put the tablet where I need or want it to be able to look at it while driving. I like to try to keep a high visual horizon while driving so up near the windshield closest to the instrument cluster is where I decided to go. That is part of the beauty in that adjustable RAM mount arm. You can really tweak it to wherever you want it.
I would consider getting one of those mounts for my phone. Although I do think it irresponsible and not safe to mount something like the iPad they show on the passenger side dash right in front of an airbag emblem

I agree, and I thank you for the information, now I know the route I want to do.
This is a very cool idea. I am very interested in doing this myself but I noticed the way the handle bolts to the A-pillar is different in my '16 Platinum. Anybody have a similar solution for that application?
man, first the LED mounts on your bumper now this! that's 2 for 2 of mods you did that i'm copying you on @Yama4fitty!!! lol
i currently have my Torque Pro tablet mounted with one of those cheap flimsy magnetic dash/air vent mounts and i don't like it at all. thanks for the detail pics and info including links to the products you ended up using in the end. I'll be doing this soon! i may want to mount 2 tablets, but i may put my other one in a custom console that i want to build, not sure yet. i probably could do this twice on the pillar, one at the bottom and one by the top set of screws.
