My freak truck has issues. The track bar wore a huge hole in the axle mount which required welding numerous washers on it to get the new one to fit.
My wheel bearing is now shot..... Is it worth it to convert to the 99.5 hubs.... The bearings are a third the cost. I know this has probably been covered but I am to tired right now to search it...
I would buy a new truck but I love her.
For what it would cost you to convert hubs and cope with the hack fix on your axle, I'd just buy a 2003-ish complete used axle and swap it in. Willing to bet that your wheel bearings killed the track bar mount and not vice versa
I dont know what killed what but it's all dead! I found numerous threads saying you can just put 2000 wheel bearings on as long as you put the 2000 rotor on as well. Looks like I'm getting new brakes too!
