I have a 1995 f-150 both driver and passenger side Windows quit working. I can hear the motors run, but it doesn't go up or down. It will fall down an inch or two at a time but to get it back up I have to pull it up while I press the button. Any ideas? I did a search but wasn't sure what to say and it turned up nothing...
If the motor turns it's probably fine. Go to Advance Auto (or wherever you like) and get a pack of...

...for each door.
Pull the door panel off and you can then get in there and remove the motor.
If the motor has never been out of the door you'll need to drill a hole where the panel is dimpled to get to the hidden bolt. Figure out which socket you need on the other bolt and size your drill accordingly.
Under the edge of the shiny cover on the motor there are little bended tabs that you'll need to bend back or you might crack the aluminum case getting the cover off. Remove the screws, work the cover off, clean out the remnants of the other plugs, and put a little lithium grease on the screw gear.
I couldn't get the plugs in one at a time because they are in there tightly. I found it easier to sort of wedge all three plugs in and then push the gear in place. This forced the plugs into position nicely. A little lube doesn't hurt here.
While you're in there give the window regulator gear a little lube spray as well as its pivot points. Do the same for the lock and door handle mechanisms. If your little window is sticky you can also give the spring a shot of lube that might help it open and close easier.
Put it all back together and your motor is good for many more years to come.
There is a simple fix for that. There is a nylon clutch that wears out over time. Once you have your window motor out you can insert some 3/8" ball bearings in where the broken parts are.
