In 2 occasions I used stp air filters from autozone only becouse they didn't have motor craft in stock.
Both occasions when I checked them in between oil changes they had started to tear and started to get sucked up.
Just my experience

Same here. I usually buy enough for 1+ years of service including everything you mention. It's usually enough to qualify for the free shipping, and you pay no sales tax.

I hate parting with a couple hundred bux for all that at once, but it is nice to have the stuff on-hand all the time.

My thoughts exactly. Plus it is nice to have it all in one spot when it's time to change them. Instead of having to go all over the place and spend time gathering it all up.

My dealer charges $59.00 for Diesel Oil Changes. (and I can watch) For this price,
not only do I get Motorcraft parts, I get dealer documentation. If it were not for this,
then yes .. I've only used Motorcraft service parts on all of my Fords.

Wow. that is cheap. I do prefer full synthetic for the amount of heavy pulling I do. but you cant even do it yourself that cheap.

Done the dieselsite thing until I moved to AK... Luckily I had just re-ordered... No free shipping here. However, I watch for sales and then grab a couple of oil, fuel, and air filters... Nothing like hunting around for a fuel filter when you need one. Or as a membr here found out, you break a fuel filter housing and there isn't any in the entire state.
