Retractable Antenna
Is there a decent retractable antenna option available for a 93 F250?
It can be manual I'm just looking for something I can lower a bit in the garage.
Or even a replacement mast which is a bit lower?

No real room on there trucks for retractable antenna. It only mounts to the cowl panel and no room below that I recall for the rest of the assembly.
Don't recall how the little ball fits on the end, but you could snip the top and glue the ball back on.
The length is predetermine for optimal reception. I suppose you won't really notice a change.

Thanks for the reply. I've seen retractables on other cars that don't retract into the cowl, but into itself. You're left with maybe 1' above the cowl? That does what I need it to.
In fact I think my '74 F100 is like that - it's just not in front of me to verify.
I'll take a look for perhaps a shorter fixed mast.

Ya, my '69 has retractable, but only to a point. I'm betting it is the same basic antenna mount so you could look at putting something like that on.
I used to unbolt my '69 antenna and lay it on the window when I covered it up in the winter.
