Can anyone tell me where I can get a shorter antenna for my 2003 F150? I park in a parking garage, and the stock antenna scrapes. All I can find on the internet is these sleek-looking things that look like they belong on a low-rider.
You could try an electric antenna which you will be able to retract. I have had very good results on older trucks using the cellphone antennas. Much smaller, pull in stations well and man do you get the looks!

Just my 2¢ on a solution. You can cut the antenna you have to the height needed where it won't scrape the ceiling in the parking garage. I did that on my 81 F150. I used a hack saw to cut the antenna, a propane torch to heat the ball on the tip that was cut off (heat & vice-grips helped the ball come off easy), and a hammer to reinstall the ball on the freshly cut antenna tip. Cost: nothing.
Advance Discount Autoparts carries a universal black, about 14" with a cellphone-like curl in the middle....looks ok, and matches up with the Ford antenna base perfectly.
Around $12.
Good luck.
