Lube down the cylinders

What type of lube,spray or what ever should I use down the cylinders for my engine. Not running for many years

Lot's of guys will use marvel mystery oil, a couple tablespoons down each spark plug hole. Is the motor locked up? If so, you'll have to be patient. It won't loosen up in a day or two. New fuel pump, rebuild carburetor, and use fresh gasoline. Maybe rig up a portable boat tank or something like that. Stale gasoline is bad stuff.

PB Blaster, myself. I usually have at least a few cans of it sitting around.

I agree with BJ MAYBERRY.the 289 is a real good engine.it is already in there so use it,you wont be disappointed
