So im to the point i am going to replace the 1 and 3 injectors. I get a fairly constant cyl3 contribution code. Lately the cyl1 keeps popping up. I found some new not in original package ford injectors for 169.99 with out a core fee. Ive dealt with the seller before when i purchased the ipr for my truck amd the parts were new in package. They sell a large amount of oem ford parts as well. So im comfortable that the injectors will be as they are stated. Does this sound like a decent price. Keep in mind the lack of a core charge.
Yes, there are individual kits available, but OEM injectors come with O-rings and copper washers already installed. That's a crazy cheap price for Motorcraft injectors, BTW, and there are core buyers that will give you a decent price for your cores.
My only concern would be if the o-rings were at all brittle since not in any packaging depending on the age. I've seen new parts that sat on the shelf for 10 years that had brittle soft parts. One pump for a tractor comes to mind when I was at a implement dealership. Problem was easily remedied with two new o-rings.
Even if that is the case here the Alliant kits are cheap enough and it's still a good deal.
It appears to have them in the pic. I would rather be prepped though. When im working on a truck is usually at the tail end of when auto zoo is open and since im not working on a sbc parts are scarse on the weekend
