My son recently got an 04 F 350 6.0. Had lots of work done and runs starts perfectly. Knock on wood. Now we want to monitor outputs to make sure it keeps working.
We use iPhone, Ipad so I initially got a wifi adapter. Cheap Chinese knock off style. These appear to be the only ones available. Then got the OBD Fusion app.
We can monitor many basic parameters but struggle to find many that people mention on this sight.
Tried to check for DTCs, none came up. Went to dealer about rough running condition and they pulled codes showing #6 contribution code.
I am looking to display FICM volts, IPR, sync, etc. don't see them listed anywhere. I sent an email to the company, got a response, but some how I wasn't able to communicate properly. They mentioned there is a more expensive upsell. Perhaps what I want is in that package, but they couldn't confirm it. I'm not spending $79 and not know what I get.
After lots of research I will get a better adapter. Sounds like kiwi3 is better. Reading about Forscan, lots of info on this app.
The App Store sells for $4.99. Is this what most people use? Is there a Forscan heavy app? Any issues purchasing from Russia?
Then I see numerous posts about downloads, etc. Why or what do you do with these.
Allows me to monitor real time data, clear all codes, create log files, use custom PIDs and math formulas, digital and analog graphics, low/high/alarm. No tests.
Works well enough, not inexpensive.

Reason: extended with "No tests"
I use the FORScan for the iPhone and my windows laptop. It data logs and displays everything I need it to except EGT. The laptop version will do the injector buzz test.
I use Torque Pro - android version. It's awesome and ridiculously easy to use, unlike setting up a Scangauge 2. Don't get me wrong, i still use my Scangauge is just a pain to set it up.
If I'm not mistaken, Toque Pro has an IOS version too.

I use the ScanGauge II. I don't need to be picked up using my phone to monitor the gauges while driving. Getting old and can't see the phone screen that easy. https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScanGauge...&wl13=&veh=sem
I have ForScan on my iPad and iPhone also the full free version on Windows. Shows and does just about everything you want to check. There are a few things it can't do but those are available on other expensive software. Get the app. and enjoy it. Pay once and get it on all your iOS devices.

or at Auto Zone at a higher cost.
Picked up a scan gauge 2 at auto zone a couple of days ago for $99.99 They priced matched Walmarts $99 price for me.
I also have the Torque Pro for my Samsung Tab 2 tablet. Torque does have a lite version for IOS devices and suggests you download the "lite" version first to confirm compatibility before paying for the Pro version for IOS.
I have Torque for my android however, I can not find any such Torque for iOS devices. There is no such app in the apple app store. Where have you seen Torque for iOS?
I flipped it...FORScan has an Android version, Torque does not have an IOS version. My bad
Darn it...I was hoping there was and I just could not locate the app....I love torque on my android but I no longer use that phone, switched to iPhone.....would prefer to use it on y current phone. I wonder why they have not made a torque for iOS to date.

Or a dedicated Android device for your rig if you still have that older phone
