i just got a price to replace all 8 injectors . thats 2400 for 8 inj. and 400 labor. . but i have no chioce gota keep my trucks going .does anybody know where to find a better price on the injectors? i have been buying them thru a local ford dealership. we have an account there and they do give us a good price.but dang thats alot for injectors.
Swamp's performance. They sell a very reputable performance injectors for around $850 for all 8. Check out their web site they are called "Baby Swamp's"
usually all 8 injectors dont go out at once. a dead pcm or idm wil give you thoose symtoms. what is the truck doing? how many miles? sounds dumb but when was the last time you changed your oil and what did you use? what year truck? sounds like this shop dosnt know what there doing. there just going to throw parts at it and hope for the best. them after they do all that they'll figure out it wasnt that and want to charge you more money. id go with a set of baby swamps for $850, but it could be a little with shipping and if you have a damaged core. but not a whole lot
All 8????Under warranty maybe! If 5 for sure failed (not hardly possible) I might replace all 8. When I got my truck it was shaking so bad I thought the drivers door would rip out the hinges. 2 injectors, left bank glow plugs and a relay later it runs smooth as silk. Might be a good idea to get a second opinion. Thanks, tony D.
