X2 on 20%, I just did it today and it is very close to the factory tint. 35% here in the communist state of california will get you a ticket. Even 20% is pushing it.

In the communist state of VA it is 50% on the front windows and I have always done 35%. Been ticketed about 7 times over the last 20 years because of this but since the SD wont be a DD I am going 20%. FTW!

35% is lighter than 20%. The percentage is light admittance. 5% is limo tint. From inside the truck, 35% is barely noticable.
I might have misunderstood the installers explanation of the tint percent. I certainly don't know anything about it, I trusted his knowledge. I know that I just chose the one closets to legal and still trying to match the back window. i'm happy with it, I hope the police are as well.
