Alternate body side molding

My 78 F250 was originally two tone. About 15 years ago, I repainted all blue and deleted the lower thin molding. I'm doing another refresh and will eventually paint it again. I'm considering doing away with the main upper molding, but I'd like to have something there.

Looking around at some pictures of other dentsides, I noticed that a few of them had a different kind of molding that's smaller with no rubber. I can't seem to find replacement parts that look like it and don't know what models they came on. Can anyone provide any info?

I have it on my 79 F150 Ranger:

I've heard it called "narrow dent trim". It is not reproduced. You could put an ad in the classifieds on here. eBay is your other best bet.

I like that. That would be much easier to polish, too.

I actually saw a piece of the cab corner trim on ebay. It was obviously different, and that's when I first noticed it.

X2 on it is referred to a thin trim and not reproduced that I know of.

What about painting a stripe that looks like that? A couple of these truck have the thin trim painted black...

I don't generally like the colors on that super cab, but that is awesome!

I have the pieces for both doors, and one for the bed (long box). If you grab the fender pieces on eBay all you'd need to find is the cab corner pieces and another piece for the box...

Wow that fender set it pricey. I would not even ask that much for the long bed SET I have...PM already sent a while back.
