So I bought a Dentside door and a fender yesterday. Both had trim that I wasn't familiar with (I'm not an expert, but I do think of the fat dent trim as normal and I have also seen skinny dent trim as well as racetrack trim).
The fender has chrome wheel lip molding and a Camper Special badge, and the door has a very wide piece of chrome rocker molding.
I hope these photos come through - any thoughts on what either kind is called or what special packages it came on, etc?
Yeah, the rocker trim is fairly common and looks super good on a Dent. Bumpside rocker trim on a Bump too.
I think rocker trim was probably always accompanied by the wheel opening bright trim molding, but the wheel opening moldings could certainly be had without the rocker trim.
I've been around Dents all my life but never really studied the trim until recently. Of the last 20 or 30 that I've analyzed, on the street, the few that I own, and ones in junkyards, I've never seen rocker or wheel opening trim. But I suppose the trim and paint scheme combos are what attracted me to them way back in the 70s when I was a little kid

Lower body side mouldings and wheel opening mouldings: 1973/76 Ranger XLT; 1973/79 Ranger and some Customs.
1977/79 Ranger XLT's and 1978/79 Lariats have Race Track mouldings, do not have the lower body side and wheel opening mouldings, but...
Some people bought the wheel opening mouldings at parts counters, then installed them.
