Bought bronco ll not running ,new fuel pump filter ,fresh cap rotor ,wires ,plugs ,starts runs ,go to drive it misses no power ,checked compression all good and same psi , baffled need suggestion what to ck next,

 

A check of the OBD-I codes would go a long way in diagnosing. Whereabouts in Michigan?

Consider checking the ICM. I had one go out and it would just kill the engine when it warmed up and put it in gear, then I wouldn't be able to start it for an hour.

 

up date no codes when scanned key on not running , pulled plugs out #5 cylinder plug was wet ,checked injector electrical check ok ,has to be injector is failing mechanically ,going to replace injector ,see how that goes. To check code running , seen several way to start , what is the correct procedure to start scan? let if flash what motor you have then floor gas or hit brakes an turn steering wheel ?

 

figured it out last week checked all injectors electrically all checked good ,injectors an wire harness ,one failed mechincally ,replaced it runs like a top now !
