Anyone here with issues yet?

Reading various Raptor forums and seeing some transmission failures already. Also seeing engine misfire codes popping up. One person even had the loaner (17 3.5 eco) vehicle have misfire while the Raptor was in for work. I guess so much for the "redesign" comment from Ford.

I read about a couple guys on the Raptor forum having transmission issues. But neither problem has been diagnosed by Ford yet, so I wouldn't call it a transmission failure...yet.

Seems like many more issues are popping up now. There have also been many reports of poor build quality.

Seeing many more with issues popping up. There are reports of Raptors with engine issues... issues on parts that don't even go on the Raptor engine (but they do go on the base 3.5 eco).....

There are many more people on FRF with no issues than there are with issues.

Subscribing, seriously looking into getting a Raptor. Might be prudent to wait awhile?

Yes - most definitely wait. These 17's came out of the oven too early!
Plus, by waiting, you will have more choices soon.

Let's not forget 93Cobra is the resident Ford hater. I think he just bounces from forum to forum finding things to hate and then spreads the rumors to other forums. Never has any facts and data. Always says "Google search".

I saw a 2017 Avalanche Grey Friday and while it certainly looked good, I have a couple reservations. He got on it to show off a bit as he turned in front of everyone. 1) Not certain but may like the Gen 1 looks better, haven't decided. 2) More importantly I just can't get used to the exhaust sound! It's sort of like a vacuum cleaner & New Years Eve horn?

While it may sound different inside, outside the exhaust sound is just a deal breaker for me. To each his/her own, y'all enjoy yours!

I am no where near purchasing....yet. I have yet to see one up close, just a couple on the road. I think the Avalanche with no graphics but with the tailgate applique would be bad azz....

Jury is out on the exhaust note for me....haven't heard one.

What part of La? (I assume close to Abita Springs....LOL)

I can't get past the design glitches in the 3.5 ecoboost and now the transmission has issues too.

For those concerned about sound, you can get Walker SS Quietflow mufflers for this truck. You will get performance with nearly zero of the v6 sound. It has worked great on the other 3.5 ecoboost applications.

I just read an article that Hennessy is building a VelociRaptor on the new platform (only 100 if the article isn't BS) But with larger Turbos, Larger intercooler, a new cat back exhaust and freer flowing intake, 605 HP / 622 lb/Ft torque.... price of admission....$22,000......Ouch. Would be a blast to drive, they claim 4.2 Sec. 0-60 and 12.9 Quarter Mile!
