Hey guys first time posting over here, haven't had any issues with this truck before but last night I pulled out onto the highway and my check engine light came on and a message saying engine power reduced I finally got it to reset after 4 times of shutting the truck off, was wondering if any one has a idea what this may be without knowing the code. I tried plugging my edge cts into it from my 6.0 but it wouldn't communicate guess it needs a update trucks a 15 f350 with only 30000km
Yes, you can update your Edge CTS to work with the 2015. And no, as to a SWAG to why the reduced power. Did you change fuel filters lately? Or any other maintenance or changes?
Or you are driving through a snow storm and it's possible your air filter got clogged - even though the new design is better at preventing that... Or you filled up in Florida and drove to a northern cold state and your fuel gelled... Unfortunately, we could take SWAGS all day long.
You can (or could have) put the truck in engineering mode to see hard codes. Hold the down arrow on the steering wheel, put key in and turn it on, but not start... Scroll through a lot of pages of info... You can start it and keep it in engineering mode if you want to as well. Won't work unless you have the 4.2" productivity screen.
